If you are looking for a good place to hike in Northern California you definitely have to take a trip up to Hidden Falls Regional Park in Auburn (7587 Mears Pl, Auburn, CA 95603). If you live in Sacramento it is about a 30 – 40 minute drive. Lots of fun. Some trails easy and some more difficult. We went with three kids and the weather was beautiful. The park usually opens really early at like 5:30am. The earlier you go the better the park gets really packed. They do have portable restrooms o f you are wondering. i recommend taking sun block, snacks, and lots of water. Oh and make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Great for kids and first timers. I loved it. If you plan to go visit. Have fun and enjoy the scenery.
