A trip to Windsor, CA

This past weekend we visited Windsor, California. It was a weekend full of great memories with the family.

It’s a small little city but there are so many breathtaking views. The little downtown area is so welcoming and has a variety of restaurants and wineries.

We checked in on Friday night. We drove in from Sacramento. The weather was decent and not too hot. It was warm enough for the kids to go swimming at any time of the day.

It was an amazing time. We stayed at the WorldMark resort. They were very hospitable. The condos on the resort were spacious and fit us all. We had two units having 2/2 bedrooms/bathrooms. Master bedroom had kind bed and private restroom. The second room had two twin beds. Then in the living room was a full size Murphy bed. We had 13 people total and we all fit with room to spare. There were 7 kids and 6 adults. We went to an owner up date and 3 of us received free breakfast. It was a very informative meeting. Although at the end they did try to sell us more credits we respectfully declined.

Each unit is equipped with a propane bbq so we utilized that. Each unit has a full kitchen and cookware which helps when trying to save money. We didn’t get to do as many activities as I’d hoped but we did go wine tasting and to one brewery.

We went wine tasting at Williamson Winery. This was such an amazing experience. It was myself and my better half. Her dad and my mom. The servers were so knowledgeable and really made us feel at home. I would definitely do it again. The pairing of the wine with the food was very interesting and the food was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend it if in the Healdsburg area.

Then the brewery we went to was literally walking distance from our resort. The staff at the brewery were friendly and welcoming and sat us quickly. The food was flavorful. I had their chicken wings and the sauce was just like a little bite of heaven.

Anyhow this was our family trip. We really enjoyed ourselves and were so appreciative of the family that made it out there. If you are every looking for a beautiful, mellow place to visit in California. I highly recommend Windsor and exploring the wineries.

Thank you for reading. Have an amazing day.
