JENNIFER LOPEZ has inked a reported $12 million one year deal to become a judge on new 10th season of Simon Cowell-less American Idol.
Sources estimate the various payouts and incentives to the pop superstar to be valued at $12 million.
The Hollywood Reporter says the newly inked deal would seat J-Lo at auditions for the new season which starts airing next week.
Fox declined to comment, continuing to fuel rampant speculation as everyone from Sir Elton John to Aerosmith wildman Steven Tyler have been bandied about to ballyhoo the first season without AI co-creator, king of snark, Simon Cowell, who left to concentrate on his X-Factor.
Sources say that Lopez cut a deal with Fox sans the secondary deals she had hoped to secure from the net including Additional film/TV projects to be bankrolled by Fox.
Now, reports say, it’s a one-year-AI only pay-or-play deal.
Stay tuned…
